Next Rally Sprint round is Tuesday 6th of December at Kwinana motroplex.

Last event for the year for us at Barbagallo Raceway. Our guys had 7 cars running this weekend, the Ktec cars dominated the sports car field. 
Work now begins on the major upgrades to the circuit for the return of the V8 Supercars in 2012.

This 911 RS is being re-built by our team, we have put this one on a diet with all glass panels and stripped out the interior. A custom light weight wiring harness is nearing completion and Brendan has re-built the 3.9ltr engine with larger custom camshafts and extensive cylinder head work. Stay tuned to see the end results ....

Some great racing at Perths Barbagallo raceway over the weekend. Our team took the win in Sportscars with Richard Bennett, Peak property group 997 Cup car and the win in Marque sports cars with George Bradbury in his 996 GT3.

Our team here at K-tec have been working with the Edith Cowin University motorsport team to give students valuable trackside experience working with the Motec data logging systems in our cup cars on test days and race weekends. Its a great relationship as the students get to work with our guys and get hands race day experience and it gives our customers fantastic data and feedback to work with and helps to improve their lap times.

The 2011 Shannons 1 Day Classic Rally is on again. Sunday September 11 is the date and with 20 exciting stages packed into a day its great value and awesome fun.
Anyone can enter with a roadworthy car, this is a great way to get a taste of motorsport.

Our RS replicas are tough!! Shane Attwell competed in the Targa South West Rally on 21/22 May, then ran the car the following weekend at Barbagallo Raceway in sports/marque sports cars.

PCWA round 2 was held down at Collie Motorplex last weekend. Fastest time of the day went to one of our 911RS replicas. The excellent power to weight of these early cars means they are very competitive against the newer GT3's and Turbos.

After his fiery crash in round 4 of this years V8 Supercar Meetings held at Barbagallo Raceway, Karl Reindler was back behind the wheel of the Ktec Porsche 997 Cup Car and it was a winning return for the current V8 Super Star. An impressive pole time of 57.5 and 3 race wins gave Karl the round win and he now leads the points in this years WA Sports Car Championship. George Bradbury in his GT3 took the win in Marque Sportscar. The team from Ktec had 6 cars running in the combined Sports/Marque Sportscars and the team are gearing up for the return of the Wanneroo 300 Endurance meet to be held later in the season.

Targa South West 21 / 22 May 2011

An exciting tarmac rally event now in its second year. Some great closed road stages in and around the towns of Pemberton and Manjimup in the picturesque south west corner of Western Australia. The team from Ktec Motorsport had 9 cars in this years event including a stunning new Turbo Panamera in challenge class. Wet conditions made it interesting especially for the guys in the early 911's.

The first round of the summer series of the Speedaware Twilight Rally Sprint 2010/2011 was a great success.

The weather held off from raining and our K-Tec crew & customers had fun and no damages sustained.

Congratulations to Richard Bennett who topped our competing cars with a great 5th place.

We hope the next 3 rallies are just as successful. The next rally is on 16th December 2010.

Our latest project car to roll out of the shop is this 82' SC that we have back dated to an old school cool 911R look. We have installed a bolt in cage and all the panels are now lightweight fibreglass. The original 3.0L engine was given a freshen up and fitted with PMO's and a race exhaust system.

This years Quit targa West rally was a fantastic event and out team had a great run with all 6 of our K-Tec prepared cars finishing trouble free. The new Perth city stage was a spectacular way to end the event with great crowds enjoying the rally action along the rivers edge in the Perth CBD.

Pete Major / Kim Scraigh took out modern competition honours in a Nissan GT-R from Jim Richards / Barry Oliver in their GT2 Porsche.

In classic competition another one of our K-Tec built replicas took the win by Tolley Challis / Greg Flood.

Our latest RS replica tarmac rally car is nearing completion for WA based Team Green Motorsport. 

Current V8 supercar driver and multiple national sports sedan champion Tony Ricciardello joined us for our latest track day at Barbagallo Raceway. Tony spent his time in the cars working on developing vehicle setup and driver coaching with some of our more track focused clients. We also work with the guys on getting the most out of the data logging. We work closely with some very experienced drivers to help you improve your driving and get your car handling correctly on the race track.

Speedaware is a newly established, nationally recognised training organisation based here in WA. They offer motorsport driver training and corporate drive day packages along with transport and logistics driver training, resource and infrastructure driving training (mine site 4wd).
Under the guidance of international rally champion Alister McRae, the Speedaware team can help you develop your skills to be more competitive on the track and a safer driver on the road.

Round 2 of PCWA Sports Series was held last weekend down at the Collie Motorplex. The day consisted of track practice and tuning in the morning then a hillclimb after lunch

Our genuine 3.0ltr carrera is being fitted with a wide body RS kit. With a fresh 3.8ltr motor and some new suspension upgrades coming from Tarett engineering in the states, this should be a seriously fun and quick club car. We test and develop all the parts we sell and recommend on our own cars first. We race what we sell to you guys. This car has a long and successful history in W.A motorsport and within the K-Tec family. We look forward to some more good results in 2010.

Jason White & co-driver John White driving a Lamborghini have won this years Mt Buller Sprint from WA's Steve Jones in a Nissan GTR and another West Aussie Dean Herridge third in his Subaru WRX.

Classic was won by Rex Broadbent in his 1974 911RS leading home Bill Pye also competing in a '74 911RS replica.

Our team here at Ktec Motorsport would like to send our condolences to the family and friends of Gary Tierney and David Carra who sadly passed away after crashing out on day one while competing in this years Classic Adelaide Rally. Great guys and great competitors who will be sadly missed by all of us.

HWM replica makes its first VSCC race meeting. After many hours and late nights in the Ktec workshop, the hwm project we have been working on finally makes its racing debut.

It went extremely well and we look forward now to developing the car further for future historic race meetings both here and interstate.

The Classic Adelaide International Tarmac Rally returns for its 13th year on the 18-22 November 2009. Over 200 classic and performance cars are expected to take part in this years event which kicks off with prologue on the climb to the Eagle on the hill and then the cars and crews complete over 4 days throughout the Adelaide hills and surrounding regions.

This years event will feature 2 new special stages, new morning tea and lunch stops and a Saturday Night street party.

Defending champs Kevin Weeks and Bec Crunkhorn in the Supaloc 911 RSR will be looking to wrap up the Australian Classic Tarmac Championshop www.classicadelaide.com.au

Rohan Green and Andrew Cutten in a Ktec prepped Porsche 911 Carrera have taken out the Classic Challenge category in this years Quit Targa West Tarmac Rally.

It was the first event for the team and they took the class win by 11 minutes in tricky conditions.

Kevin Weeks in his 1975 911RSR replica has won the Classic Competition category in this years Quit Targa West Rally by 3 minutes and 11 seconds from David Moir in a Datsun 260Z & Gary Tierney in a Porsche 911 RS. The west conditions made for a tough even and the Ktec team had a busy rally with 7 cars to look after in this years event. Weeks and co-driver Bec Crunkhorn now head to the next event ... Classic Adelaide in a strong position for outright honours in this years Australian Classic Tarmac Championship.

Some shots the boys took while attending the GT3 Challenge Round at Phillip Island.

This was a gruelling rally for the guys who had to work hard to get the 997GT3 RS across the line this year.

With a late night changing the clutch on day 2 then an off on the mighty Cethana stage on day 4 the team toughed it out to make it to the finish line in Hobart.

Tony Quinn/Naomi Tillett took outright honours in their Nissan GTR, and the win in Classic again went to Rex Broadbent/Michael Goedheer in the '74 Carrera RS

With over 400 cars and motorbikes from the 1920s to the 1980s, the annual Historic Winton race weekend is shaping up as the best yet.

This years even will be the first outing for the 1953 HWM Replica the team at Ktec have been busy preparing.
